The Dutt Campbell Duo, are thrilled to perform their program “Metamorphosis” for you at the Roar Shack, in one of the duo's first concerts in the Bay Area.
“Metamorphosis” features music by Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Mary Kouyoumdjian, Fodé Lassana Diabaté, and others. The title reflects the change we are undergoing as musicians, shifting into the Duo form of viola and piano, a new, inspiring configuration for both of us. “Metamorphosis” is also the title of one of our signature pieces by Philip Glass, with whom we both share a strong connection.
About the Dutt Campbell Duo: With an energizing and adventurous repertoire focusing on both new works by living composers and contemporary classics, the Dutt Campbell Duo unites the talents and vision of two prominent figures in today’s new music: violist Hank Dutt, who performed with the three-time Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet for nearly 50 years; and pianist Kate Campbell, a current member of the groundbreaking San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, the West Coast’s largest and longest-running new music ensemble.

InterMusic SF invites you to the 19th edition of SF Music Day, a free daylong celebration of Bay Area music hosted at the historic SF War Memorial + Performing Arts Center. Experience 20+ ensembles performing throughout the hall, in the Herbst Theatre, the Green Room, and the Taube Atrium Theater.
Dutt Campbell Duo will be in the Taube Atrium at 4:00, but we encourage you to attend as much as you can of this free event, 12:00-6:00!
